IE Technician

Under direction, assists Instrument Electrician Class A and B in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electrical systems in power centers, motor control centers, 7200V switch gear, 345KV and 138KV transmission switchyard using schematics, interconnects and test equipment. Under direction, repair, adjust and calibrate equipment of steam generating plant; inspect, test, adjust and repair electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments.

Under direction, conducts duties in a manner that ensures overall plant safety and efficiency. Records readings for auxiliary equipment on a regular basis. Determines needs for equipment repairs and communicates equipment problems and solutions among co-workers.
